Excellent bike, exactly as presented.

Easy to assemble, performs well on short test rides to date, looking forward to longer rides.

Swift Step Thru 3

Today was the first time riding the Swift and putting it through a test ride (3.5 hrs.) Found the ride smother than my Stunner step thru 5. Going around corners was easier also and non pavement trails a breeze. Torque sensor (Swift) vs cadence sensor (Stunner) was more manageable with the Swift. Felt more comfortable operating the bike. Got the higher capacity battery and am very pleased to know that I will be able to go longer distances with this battery. My only negative comment is the space between the seat and the handle bars is a little tight so stopping and starting is a little cumbersome/awkward but the throttle is a great asset. There was more space between the seat and handle bars on the Stunner. Stunner is a more powerful bike (especially for hills) but I like the feel how the Swift is more like a regular bike for pedalling but you have the assist if you encounter hills. Biktrix support is excellent. Barb G

a good bike with some missed details

Overall, this is a fine bike. It has a natural feel, rides and handles well at speed, gets a great distance on a single charge, and carries cargo well with the rear rack plus an aftermarket front basket. I can easily get groceries for a week with just a little careful packing.

There's a number of smaller details that seem out-of-place or just poorly thought out though. In no particular order:
The bottle cage is crammed between the top tube and the battery which leaves no room for a bottle and gets in the way of the battery.
The seat is way to big to be comfortable on a ride of any distance, especially for a bike with a fairly active riding stance- maybe it's alright for very short trips or if you're only using the throttle but this bike is not an upright beach cruiser. A standard cheap saddle is a significant improvement (and would probably cost less than the stock seat).
The rear fender fits so tight to the tire that it rubs, plus it's unnecessary with the rack anyway - it's a bit of an inconvenience to remove that fender but well worth it.
The layout of everything on the handlebars made it difficult to reach the controls without the brakes getting in the way. I took everything off and moved my brake levels in and the electronic controller and shifter out so I could reach everything.
The crank arms feel really short at only 165mm - it would have been nice to have an option of a different size, even if it costs extra.

It feels like a somebody designed the bike itself and electrical system and did a great job and then a marketing team choose the components that would look good on paper.

Nice bike that could be even better

Buying the bikes was not as straight forward as I expected, their website had some glitches that prevented me to take advantage of their promotions, however an email to their support team fixed that.
After receiving my bikes I found out that some parts in both of the handle bars were assembled in the wrong order so with some help from their support team I was able to fix the issue and get some spare parts that were damaged in the process.
All in all, I like these bikes very much, they have all the basics at a good price. However, they could be even better if you could upgrade some things like a headlamp connected to the ebike controls and battery, your only option is a to get rechargeable headlamp or one with external batteries.
Their support team is great.

Poor quality when picked up, wobbly front and back tires

As other have mentioned, very poor quality control. Picked up a Swift X on Saturday from the main branch in Saskatoon. Took it for the first ride to my office (11km away) and noticed both front and back wheels have a wobble. Walked over and spoke with them about fixing it, but needs the bike for a full day. Should they not check the bike over properly before picking it up?

Poor quality control

Like other reviews have said. Good looking bike but poor quality control. Front wheel wobble out of the box. Issue with torque sensor, bike sometimes has weak pedal assist. Support wants me to take a video to show the issue but how can I show the weaker feedback in video. Feels dangerous to be requested to ride a bike and take a video.

My Swift X - overall a mediocre bicycle

Good
Pleasing profile, 29 inch wheels yes, critical to have a throttle - is the only feature that makes the bike ridable
Poor
The torque and cadence sensors work poorly - lack sensitivity
Factory blocking of the LCD exacerbates the problem
Bad
one of the bolts for the front caliper was cross threaded and left, the other was only finger tight
obviously no real quality control, as I found the problem not Biktrix
Conclusion
Nice apprearance, but poor workmanship and almost worthless electronic controls

Assembled yesterday. Ride tested. So far so good.
