Slight problem with brake sensor cable

The ebike shop mechanic found that the cable was slightly dissimilar at the brake handle port, and the plunger was not touching the interior spot for disconnect. He had to super glue a piece to the end of the new cable to make it work. It works, but would have been a failure fo me if I would have done it at home.

Only Option if on Budget

You get what you pay for here, and these are as described. If you have the budget though, I'd highly recommend getting the hydraulic brakes with the e-cutoffs built in. If on a budget, these will have to do if you want to keep your existing brakes. My one magnet broke in half just by me handling it normally (they are neodymium and really powerful), but I was able to keep using it by fitting it back into a circle and taping it together. I lost my other one after it bounced away and clinged to something. It takes a lot of finese installing these, as well as an epoxy or strong glue, and you have to get the positioning JUST right, but otherwise they are pretty straightforward to install. You'll want to install these once your battery and motor are all hooked up.

I have a problem with your shipping policies!!

I don't understand how you can ship a $3000.00 ebike to Alaska but cannot ship a $20.00 part? I had no choice but have the sensor shipped to a friend, then mailed to me. It cost me $30.00 to receive a $20.00 part. What do I do in the future? Not happy with Biktrik and knowing what I know now, I would have bought a Rad Bike instead. Poor customer service.

Hi Joseph, we totally understand your frustration. Unfortunately, we do not control shipping costs to Alaska as we use third party carriers like Fedex and Canada post. All our competitors except Amazon (probably) use third party carriers also. We can ship goods COD but that would usually cost much more than you would think. Last time we tried this, a $20 item costed $80 to ship. This is the reason we offered you alternate options for shipping.
