Disappointed

This is my 5 th ebike so I had high hopes that this bike would be something special. I was looking for 2 things. 4 inch fat tires for snow, but absolutely most important was the need for speed. My impression from my research was that this bike was capable of 30 mph and more.
I went over this in great detail with Biktrix and with the battery spec’d I had hoped for a bike that I could comfortably cruise at 22-25 mph and push to 30 when needed. My bike in Texas gives me that comfortably.
The best I can get out of this bike is 18-20 mph. I am so hopeful that Biktrix can respond and come up with a solution. They have been great to work with so far but we must overcome this problem.

Very Pleased

I am very happy with the Ultra Eagle. While I am not an expert I have learned a lot over the last couple of months and the Eagle has very nice components as standard equipment. My only real complaint would be the mounting of the battery plate. The bike arrived with the battery severely cocked to one side when mounted. this is due to the cable mounts on the frame. I purchase longer bolts and made some spacers as a temporary fix while waiting on a plate that should deal with the situation. This looked really bad and may have moved the balance of the bike a bit given the weight of the battery. This is my only reason for the loss of one star. The frame and build quality are excellent other than that and I do have a good eye in that regard.

The Ultra Eagle Flies.

I couldn’t ride it for a while because I just wanted to look at it. What a beauty. Totally balanced and comfortable and what a ride! I’m 75 this week and took it on a 28 mile ride into the mountains on a rough road.

I gained 2,500’ in 6 miles in 38 minutes at the start. Once I’m over the first mountains it’s all joy because it levels for miles. I had never broken 40 minutes on my Ultra FS. I had to get this gem. Thank you Biktrix.
