Skycap 2 Monkey Bar

Our skycap 2 came with the monkey bar things and although we don't have any small children that need to ride the back of our bike the bars are great for holding boxes and grocery bags nd they have endless attachments for bungy nets etc. we put a container on the rear rack for our Jack Russel and the bars help remind her that her little sausage body isn't going to make it out of she tries to jump. Worth every penny we paid and probably worth whatever they actually charge for the thing.

Has been my daily commute vehicle since I got it a week ago. It's beefy in a lot of ways that make the electric necessary, but it's very versatile because of that. I like the fatter tires, as they help reduce the risk at gravel sections I come across which would otherwise catch me off guard due to the speed under throttle. They do make a lot of drag, so I wonder what a thinner set of tires would do for overall speed. The kid loves riding the back. The monkey bars definiteIy need washers included, as I found the bolts and nuts provided pull right through the aluminium holes and come loose. I may have not taken the sale battery and went with the lower Ah choice to get a name brand Samsung. A tank bag on the back means I always have all I need for a commute and after work hang out with friends. I am happy with the bike, I would miss the versatility of the cargo bike format if I chose other options. I think the sum of parts is more than the parts themselves, as the individual components aren't high quality, nor the frame, but together they are an effective and unique package that I was looking for at the right price compared to higher end and much more expensive options.

These attached easily and will work well for 2 older kids. They are fine for their purpose. However, I bought these planning to get a 2 and 5 year old on the bike which requires a child seat. The 3 star rating is because figuring our which child seat will work was surprisingly challenging, although this must be a common use for the bike. Also, it would be nice to see more accessories like a padded seat for older kids and a half top panel for when you have a child seat attached. My next step is to build a half top panel so my 5 year old doesn't have to sit on the bars. Also, the inner monkey bars are a bit narrow and the child seat I found that will attach to the rack (Thule Yepp Nexxt Maxi Rack Mount Child Bike Seat) is a little pinched by the monkey bars. It fits but needs to be wedged in. It would be nice to have a list of accessories and guide on how to set up the bike for configurations to carry kids of different ages.
